The Rogue Valley is recognized as an ideal grape-growing environment due to its warm, dry climate. Local vineyards produce a wide variety of wines that will appeal to many different tastes. We have chosen a winery that has wonderful views of the Applegate Valley. The Rogue Creamery, located in Central Point, was founded in 1935 by Thomas G. Vella of Gela, Italy. Most famous for its legendary Oregon Blue Vein cheese, it has also won awards for its other hand-crafted cheeses. The tour begins in Jacksonville and winds along historic Old Stage Road towards Rogue Creamery. Spend some time sampling the cheeses and you may even get to watch it being made. Then onto the town of Ruch where Valley View is located. Here you can sample wines and enjoy magnificent views of the Applegate Valley.
